Question: How to test limit switch?
Answer: There is 3 wires of the limit switch on the arm, you need to connect multimeter to yellow and black first, turn oms on the multimeter, then take magnet and move it right near limit switch, if you see some changes on the multi meter. If there is no changes then limit switch is not working and need to be replaced. Then connect multimeter to black and red wire of the limit switch and do the same thing.

You can re-learn the keypad to set the password back to
factory default code(888888).
Question: Gates
won’t open or close properly after the push button is pressed
Answer:
1. Check if the wire connection is loose.
2. The push button has been failed. Please replace with
a new one.
Question : I install the loop detect
and use it very well to open the get free of hand, but the gate couldn’t close, what do I do?

Question: Why is my electric lock not working after operation for a
period of time?
Answer:
Firstly, make sure the electric lock well connected to
the terminal “LOCK” on the control board. If it still does not work, please
disassembled the e-lock and control board. Then check it by following steps:
1. Check
the tongue of the lock whether it can slide smoothly forward and backward with
no stucking.
2. If
the tongue of the lock can slide smoothly, please use a multi-meter to measure
the resistance of the e-lock. The resistance is about 8.0 Ω of 24V e-lock and
80 Ω of 36V e-lock. Please power the e-lock with the corresponding voltage if
the resistance is correct. If it still does not work please replace a 24V
solenoid.
3. If
both of the solenoid and tongue of the lock are fine, please use a multi-meter
to check if output of the ‘LOCK’ terminal on the control board is 24V at the
beginning of the opening. If there is no output voltage, please replace the
control board. The board is broken.
(1)Question: Which do I select?
“Pull to Open” or “Push to open”?
Answer:
It is strongly recommend selecting “Pull to open”. The “Push to Open” option is
used only for gates installed on upward slope to “towards” your property.
Warning: Swing gates shouldn’t open toward to
public area when the” Pull to Open”is selected.
(2)Question: Why is the wire
of limit switch near motor
(open limit switch) too short to adjust?
Answer:
The switch near the motor is fixed in a factory
position; it is non-adjustable in our design.
In “Pull to Open” installation, we don’t suggest the user to adjust the open
limit position since the desired gate open angle can be determined by installing the post brackets, pivot
brackets and gate brackets.
In
the beginning, the user should use a fully retracted actuator to determine the gate
open position. Then fully
extend the arm towards the gate closed position. Slide the limit switch which
is farthest from the motor to adjust the gate in desired close position.
(3)Question: Is the control
board defective in most situations when the gate opener does not work correctly
or not at all?
Answer:
In our experience, most trouble or failures can be attributed to incorrectly
installed or programmed equipment. Don’t think the control board has been
defective and/or require replacing before you check and try to solve the
problem. Sometimes what you should to do is re-set or re-program the unit.
(4)Question: Both the actuators don’t work. LED has no
display. What do I do?
Answer:
1.
Check if the power is on.
Check
the input voltage at the terminal. It should be local AC power. If the voltage measures 0 suing the voltmeter,
the power cable may be damaged.
2.
Check if the output voltage of the transformer is 24Volts AC. If the voltage
measures 0, the transformer may be overheated or damaged. Turn power off and
allow transformer to cool for several minutes then reset. Replace the
transformer if the symptom still exists.
3.
Check the fuse in the control board. Replace the fuse if necessary.
(5)Question:
Both the actuators don’t work. Motors
don’t run. LED flashes ”- -” when I operate the push button or
wired keypad. How do I solve this?
Answer:
Use a jumper wire to short the O/S/C terminal temporarily to operate the gate
opener. If the gate works, re-connect the push button and wired keypad or replace
them with a new one.
(6)Question:
The gate opens, but doesn’t close. What
do I do?
Answer:
Please check by following
steps if a photocell is used in the system,
1. Check the connection of
the photocell, both power LED of emitter and receiver will be ON if the
connection is right.
2. Please ensure the beam
is not blocked and try to operate it again.
3. Remove the photocell
from the control board and then use a jumper wire to short the
"PHOTOCELL" terminal. Try to operate it again, the photocell may be
faulty if the gate can close. The control board may be damaged if the gate
still doesn't close.
Make sure the “P9” setting to “00” if a
photocell is not used.
(7)Question: The gate begins to open or close but
stops and reverses after a couple of seconds. What do I do ?
Answer:
1.
Check that there is no obstruction in the gate travelling path.
2.
The stall force has been set to too small; please adjust the stall force by
setting “P5” “P6” to higher level.
3.
Check if gates swing freely and with little effort. There may be a problem with
the hinges.
(8)Question:
One of the actuators doesn’t work, the
other operates normally. What do I do?
Answer:
1.
Please make sure “P1”
has been set to “11”.
2.
Check if the clutch (emergency key) of the actuator has been released. (Make
sure it is in the lock position).
3.
Check the wire connection of the faulty actuator; ensure the wires have been
connected tightly.
4.
Exchange the wire connection of the two actuators. If the same failure doesn’t happen
with the faulty arm, then the limit switch may be faulty. If the same failure
happens with the second arm (originally working properly) the control board may
be faulty.
5.
You should confirm that the limit switch is defective .Use a jumper wire to
short the “COM” terminal with “ULT” and “DLT” terminal relative to the opposite
limit switches. Try to operate the arm again. The limit switch is defective if
the failure disappears; please replace it with new one. Replace the motor if
the failure still exists.
(9)Question:
One of the actuators can move in one
direction, but does not move the other direction. The other actuator is normal.
What do I do?
Answer:
1.
Check the connection of the faulty actuator; ensure the wires have been
connected tightly.
2.
Exchange the wire connection of the two actuators. If the same failure still happens to the faulty
arm, the limit switch may be faulty. If the same failure happens with the
second arm (originally working properly), the control board maybe faulty.
3.
Now we should confirm if the limit switch is defective .Use a jumper wire to
short the “COM” terminal with “ULT” and “DLT” on the control board, try to
operate again to check if the failure disappears.
The
open limit switch is defective if the open failure disappears; please replace
it by new one. The close limit switch is defective if the close failure disappears;
please replace it by new one.
Replace
the motor if the failure still exists.
(10)Question: One of the actuators does not reach the
desired limit position, another actuator is normal. What do I do?
Answer:
1.
The soft stop period is too long; set “PD” to more than 25 seconds in order to short the soft
running period.
2.
Re-adjust the limit switch and increase the pull force level on the control
board.
3. Check if the Max Motor
Running Time(MRT) is too short, increase it if necessary
4.
If above method doesn’t correct the failure. Exchange the connection of the two
actuators. Check to see if the same failure still happens for normal actuator.
If so, replace the control board.
(11)Question: Gates
sometimes open unexpectedly but no control device has been pressed
Answer:
1. There could be interference in the
control board. Erase all of remote controls entry code, then
re-program (re-learn) the remote controls code to operate the gate.
2. Check if the push button wire is longer
than 10 meter. Only use STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) if length of your push
button wire is longer than 15 meters.
(12)Question: Remotes fail to learn. What
do I do?
Answer:
1.
Check battery of the remote.
2.
When the LED displays “Ln”. Press the key in the remote two or more times within
2 seconds while learning. (The remote will fail to learn as soon as the interval
between two pressing is longer than 2 seconds)
3.
Contact local dealer to request a short video about remote programming to
double check.

Closing Time” is set on the control board, the Lamp will blink all time.
You can cancel the
set of “Automatic Closing Time” .
Please set the “0” in “PA” on the Digital Display of
control board, the Lamp will stop blinking.
Refer to Manual P.22,
step 9.” Set the Automatic Closing Time”.
(22) Question: My gates don’t close perfectly at
the original closing position after some time use. They stop beyond the closing
position. What do I do?
Answer: Re-adjust the closing limit switch and tighten the fixing screw
to avoid limit switch movement. If you are located in an area with a lot of
strong wind, we strongly recommend you install an electric lock to perfectly
close your gates and the lock will better secure your gates or use a block at
the closing position to stop the gates.
Please contact with your local dealer to order the electric lock LM149.
